Twilight...

I don't think I could pick a better subject for my first blog. The Twilight Series by Stephenie Meyer are the most amazing books I have ever read. My bestest friend ever, Brittney, got me to read them. I remember asking her what they were about and her reply was "Vampires" as she smiled one of her goofy smiles. I gave her one of my famous "are you serious?" looks to which she replied "But it's so much better than it sounds...it's hard to explain!" I have found myself making that same statement to everyone I tell about the book.

You can't even explain them to someone else and yet when you read them, it's like you personally know the characters. I found myself thinking about it constantly during the day wondering what was going to happen next...as if it was going to have some affect on my own life! If you've read them, you know exactly what I'm talking about. If you haven't read them, you should! And don't say I didn't warn you...they are completely addictive. I have read them 3 times...I know, right? I have passed the addiction on to several others...including my daughter, Darian, my sister-n-law, Suzanne, along with a coworker, Renate...just to name a few.

To say that I am excited about the release of Twilight the movie would be a complete understatement! I am counting down the days! And as a matter of fact, I have already purchased my tickets for the movie! So come 12:01am on 11-21-08, I will be sitting in the AMC 24 in Orange Park with my Brittney, Darian and LeeAnn to see the very first showing! We are even getting our own dorky little Twilight t-shirts and contemplating the 'Team Edward' signs. Yeah...we're going to be THOSE people...you know like the dorks in line in their favorite costume waiting to see the premiere of Star Wars...that will be us. I'm sure there will be lots of pictures to post so keep a look out for that. :)

But it doesn't stop there...come the weekend, Brittney and I are dragging our 2 favorite guys out to see it. I mean, I figure if I can read the books 3 times, I can certainly sit through the movie a second time! lol

I am hoping that the movie is amazing as the books...especially since Stephenie Meyer was involved in the making of the movie. But hey, if not, I got to see a very hott "Edward" (Robert Pattinson) for 2 hours! Doesn't sound too bad to me.

If, by some chance, you haven't seen the preview for Twilight, you can go here and see it.

New To This

Okay, so I've posted plenty of blogs on MySpace but I'm new to the whole 'blogspot' thing. Stay tuned...the blogging will begin soon!
